The difference between Pantone color and Four-color(CMYK) priting

- Jan 10, 2018 -

Pantone is the international standard color for printing.Because Pantone is the solid color with even density, which is pure and looks thick and smooth. However, priting with four-colorr tends to be a little dark, not that colorful. Because under the influence on the expanse of picture and overprint, the ink is thinner. Those factors affect the ink's maldistribution.

Hence, the four-color is not that pure than pantone color. But the good point for choosing four-color priting is that the cost is cheap and no need to change color very often when it is under priting. Naturally, the production efficiency improves.
